Learning Materials for Linguaskill
We recommend that all candidates taking Linguaskill prepare well in advance to give themselves the best chance of being successful in their live test.
Students need to familiarise themselves with what to expect on test day, the structure of the tests, the types of questions they will face and the amount of time they have to complete each module. They also need to practise taking the test as much as possible so that they can feel confident on exam day and make best use of the time available to them.
On 8 October 2025 we implemented an update to the Linguaskill Writing test. Previously the test provided candidates with 45 minutes to write one essay. This changed to two tasks – writing an essay and an email – which candidates have 55 minutes to complete.
