It is possible for a candidate to re-sit a component in which they scored poorly (including the Speaking component).
Candidates must re-sit components within six months of their original test. For the result of the re-sit to be linked to the original test, it must be taken with the same login. It's also necessary for the candidate to sit the components under the same Institution ID/centre number (e.g GB100 or 12345).
When a candidate sits a component multiple times within six months, the TRF will show the best result that was achieved. This period commences from the date when the candidate took the first component.
To ensure that the candidate re-sits a component using the same login as the original, please refer to the Linking Existing Candidate Accounts article.
Linking the candidate's accounts will ensure that the agent or client can view all the results for that candidate. The Test Report shows only the best scores for each component for the candidate, and the Group Report shows the history of all the component scores for the candidate.
