Setting up a session
- There is only a ‘light’ integration between Talview and Metrica so agents will need to create sessions in both Talview and Metrica
- We recommend creating separate sessions in Metrica for Talview to make results processing easier and these sessions should be set up in a particular way using the bulk upload feature:
- Use a separate ‘Remote’ or ‘At Home’ venue
- Ensure that you use the candidate’s email address as the Candidate Login for Metrica – this is essential for Talview especially for multiple skill tests
- Disable the timer (there is a time in Talview)
- Set the results to be withheld from Candidates
Single Skill tests allow you to test one Linguaskill component at a time, with a 90 minute timer.
Bundle tests allow you to test multiple tests in the same sitting, with a 4 hour timer.
If you wish to do multiple skills for a candidate, but at different times, for example on different days, you will need to use the Single Skill type each time. The Bundle allows for the tests to be done within the 4 hour timer so they have to be done within that window. Please see the instructions for each type below depending on your needs:
- Once you have set up the sessions and uploading the candidate data in Metrica you need to upload the data to Talview:
- In Metrica go to Reports > Results & Reports
- Select the ‘Linguaskill Entries’ Report
- Select the appropriate session (for multi skill tests it doesn’t matter which skill you use as long as you have used the same Candidate Logon details for all skills). Click ‘View Report’ and then download as CSV. This will create a CSV file in the format that Talview requires for the session setup
- Once you have set up the sessions and uploading the candidate data in Metrica you need to upload the data to Talview:
- In Metrica go to Reports > Results & Reports
- Select the ‘Linguaskill Bundles for Talview’ Report
- Select the appropriate session and click View Report, then download as CSV. This will create a CSV file in the format that Talview requires for the session setup
